About

Terry Jackson has been a photographer in some form or another for most of his life having received his first camera as a Christmas present when he was eight years old. Terry shot film for many years before digital came around but when it did he jumped in with both feet. He’s spent the last couple of years trying different software and tweaking the way he processes images on his computer, some of which is not unlike what used to be done in the darkroom, to finally get the look he wants in his images. Terry is still exploring the many different ways to use HDR and the results that can be produced.

Terry recently retired from his career job and is quickly moving into a new career as a fine art photographer. He has an ambitious year in front of him, not only in making the transition to full time photography but also with all the travel he has planned for the rest of the year. He will be returning to a few classic locations once again but he will be visiting many others for the first time. He hopes to bring his unique vision to those locations. Terry has just started up his ‘SpecksOnTheMap.com’ blog where he will post details of his travels and any information he thinks readers would enjoy aong with photos from his travels. He will also be helping out by making a presentation on HDR at one of his good friend’s photography workshops this summer and is considering offering HDR workshops on his own in the future.

Terry is a member of both NANPA and NAPP. He is an affiliate of HDRsoft and offers the visitors to his site a discount code for a 15% savings on their Photomatix software. Just check it out on his Software page.

Terry is more than happy to help out other photographers and welcomes your comments on his guestbook here or e-mail questions sent directly to him at photog1oh@yahoo.com
